I started another blog, it's all about art journaling. I will be posting my art journal pages there & also making prompts for you to do in your own art journal. I think this will help motivate & push me to create more. So check it out often to see what new art I am working on.

I found this image on pinterest. & loved it.

I have been wanting to play around with some stuff in my art journal with fonts & simple drawings. So, I thought, I'll take this saying & remake it in my art journal, just for fun. This is what I came up with.

Not sure I like it better than the orginal image, but I do like that I took the time (which is hard for me to do) to play around in my art journal. Cause that is just good for my soul.

& helps me grow.

Plus it's just a good message.

I decided to do a bit of playing around in my studio today. I haven't done that in a while. So, I pulled out a few things & did a bit of good ol' playing. It always feels good to art journal. I wish I took more time to do it, but really it usually is a last priority when it comes to what needs to be done.

Today I am glad for this. & I am going to try to remember to keep this saying in the fore front of my mind.

art journaling with Dax.

Things are for sure back to normal around here. It doesn't take Dax long to wondering into the studio & want to work on an art project. For a while I have been wanting to start an art journal with him that he could work on everyday in a special book. So, we finally did it. He cut a few things out of a BMX magazine & added some stickers & some colored pencils. He was in Heaven.

& so was I.

It makes me so happy that this little guy of mine loves art as much as me. I love that we have this thing we both love to do together. I hope to do it at least a few times a week with him & take photos of his pages, so we have them saved.

I have been taking an art journal class by Elise & Rachel. I just needed that extra push to be a bit more creative lately.

Decided to get out my art journal this morning, I came up with the above image. I guess vacation is on my mind as summer feels like it is approaching.

Other directions I am currently assessing: what to create? when to create? when to go outside & have an adventure? when to just sit on the floor & play with the boys? when to have me time? what to do between it all?

I created this a few days ago. I love spray paint. It really is one of my favorite tools when it comes to making art journal pages.

& YES I have so many crafty ideas running through my head right now. Unfortunately the reality is I have very few minutes everyday to create anything. I need to figure out a better way to be more productive in those few minutes.

At least Rudd is getting big enough that he can sit up on my lap while I type on the computer. (That makes me smile).

Today: I have worked out, cross fit style. Worked on getting 7 jewelry orders done. Hung out with my sisters for a bit while my grandma (89) was out to see my new nephew. Had lunch with them (sandwich). Had my eye brows waxed (finally). & I have a haircut this afternoon (finally). Dax is down for a nap now. Time to clean the floors.
