[Build up.]

It's more than just sisters.

It's a hard thing to explain. The way I feel about my family. About my sisters & how we just love to be together. My sister Sally was down here this weekend with her girls & we just spent time together. & I loved every second of it. We spent a fair amount of time at the BMX park with the kids. Dax loves it, well, everyone loves it. (video to come soon).

Something that I have come to really realize, even though, I have known this for a while is, you know that saying "it takes a village to raise a kid." Well, it's so so true. It really does take a village. My village is my parents & sisters. It's my family. I couldn't do this without them. I wouldn't want to do this without them. Family really is everything to me & I wouldn't change that for anything.

making pants...

I have been a crazy person trying to get pants done for girls camp for church. It will be so much fun to see all the girls wearing them as PJ bottoms. I am the camp director & I have a BIG TO DO LIST.

At least I love what I am doing. I love these pants so much. I just want to make them for everyone I know!

 

Weekends. Utah.

I have had an amazing time in Utah this past weekend. I am so blessed to have been able to come up here with my sisters & mom to hang out with sally & her girls. It has been a great memory making weekend that I don't want to forget.

It's simple get-a-ways like these that I think about so often & want to keep fresh in my mind.

I love my family so much & miss my boys when I am away, but I swear it makes me a better parent when I get home.

I am so lucky to have such close sisters & mom that we want to do everything together. I don't ever want that to change.

 

my wrist.

A few months ago my wrist really started bothering me & slowly got worse & worse. So much so that I could hardly hold Ollie or Rudd with my right arm. So, I went to a hand specialist to get it looked at & he told me I had a syst that needed to be removed & then I should feel much better & it would only take a week to get back to feeling better. Of course, I was like, ok, this sounds great. Easy fix. Well, so I get the sergery & it turns out that my wrist didn't have a syst, but instead was super muscular because of all the baby holding & the jewelry making & the computer typing & the...whatever I did to get too much muscle build up in there...So the Doctor removed some muscle tissue & now my arm is all wrapped up & KILLING ME. I have been in so much pain. I am hoping today will be the last painful day. It has been hard to do anything on my own & not really being able to help my kids the way I need to be able to help them.

Thanks for all the help everyone around us has been. I don't know what I would do with out my sisters, my sweet husband & neighbors.

I have a bunch of rad sisters, 4 to be exact.

Today I thought I'd tell you about my super cool sister, emily.

Emily is my slightly older sister, by 18 months. We have always been close, always hung out together & still do almost daily. It's awesome, 'cause we live so close to each other (ok, I live close to a lot of my family) & because we have kids similar ages, we are always trading off kids. I seriously, don't know what I would do without her.

getting back into it.

 

Went mountain biking with my sister em. Can you get over this view? & better than that it's Feburary & we have the perfect weather out. This is why we live in Arizona, right?

ride: from my house to trail, down small switchback to the grind, to ridge trail, back to 4 way, short cut to up grind, back to my house.

time: about 1 1/2 hours. (stopped to help a guy change his tire.)

It's funny how we want what we don't have. It seems to be this way with everything in life.

They say 'the grass is always greener...'

I wanted these shoes when we were in Hawaii. They were super comfy on my feet & they were going to be perfect for the activities we were going to be doing in Hawaii. I text this picture to David & he was like, 'please don't get those' actually he pretty much begged me to not get them. & my sisters where saying the same thing...ended up not getting them.

The point: I didn't really need them, but I wanted them because I didn't have them.

As I type this the same thing is going on in my house right now. Dax is playing with a toy & Rudd just has to have it. & vise versa. It seems that everyday is like this...in some way.

It is hard to be content. To just be happy with what we have.

(I still like these shoes, & maybe someday I will get them, but then again maybe not??)

Just got back from Kauai, Hawaii. It was a girls trip. It was amazing.

I have amazing parents. I have amazing sisters. (I have 1 amazing brother too)

& here is the story:

Emily, has 3 girls & they call each other sistership when they are playing & getting along super well. So, when we were on this trip Tricia says, this is a sistership. & it is so so true. I have 4 sisters & 1 sister in law & 1 amazing mom. & the best part is that we are all best friends. I don't know what I would do on a daily basis if I didn't have them in my life. This trip really just pulled us closer together, if that is possible.

I can't wait to go back. I really didn't want to leave, but it was good to get that good missing my boys back home feeling.

This is a sistership.

I have been thinking about this whole sister thing so much lately. & even if you don't have a birth sister, a sister is any friend you can rely on & talk to about anything. This is a sistership.
