hello again

Filling our days.

Having a new baby seems to be the ultimate juggling act. At least for me it has been. It's not even the new baby really, it's Dax that seems to be even harder. I am sure here in a few weeks we will have it all straightened out & under control, but for now we are trying to fill our days with things to do around the house. I took these photos today of the boys again. Dax was being such a big brother helper holding is little brother so good, all by himself. Dax is looking so old to me lately, I guess that is probably because of Rudd seeming so small. Funny how prospective changes on things.

In the Kitchen with Dax: Play dough.

My sister recently made salt dough maps with her son at school. This got me thinking about making play dough with Dax. I have been trying to come up with things to do with him, that we can do together, since the new baby & all, I don't want him thinking he is on the back burner now. He loved making it together & now he can play with the dough for hours! a win win situation.

Here's the recipe:

1 cup flour

1/2 cup salt

1 cup boiling water ( I just put it in the microwave for 3 1/2 minutes)

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Food coloring of choice

Pour boiling water into other ingredients. Stir with fork & add food coloring.

I split my play dough into 2 balls before I added the food coloring to make 2 different colors.

In my studio.

Really, I am just checking my email & a few other sites I visit frequently. But really this is the first time I have stepped back into my studio since having Rudd.

He is currently asleep in the bouncer right here next to me & Dax is painting as he always wants to do when I come in here. He is shouting at me, more blue, more blue. Obviously, he is not liking that I am on my computer instead of right next to him painting as well.

ok, I think my time is up. Just an update at life with 2. YIKES.

baby's room

Here is one of the walls for the baby's room. It turned out just how I wanted it to. I am so excited about it. I took random letters & made the whole alphabet. It took me quite a while to gather/make all the letters, but it was so worth it. I love it! I will try take more pictures of the other walls soon. The whole room turned out so cute (I think).
