been?

man i have been such a loser in the blogging department. i dont even have a good excuse. well, not really. ok, so the day after i posted last, i left on vacation for the 4th of july. we go to san diego every year. have since i was a bitty bitty child. my parents have a beach house over there, so we all go & hang out. well this year my kidney decided to get a stone, which lead me to the ER, lots & lots of medication, throwing up, & lying around for a total of 7 days. we were only suppose to be over there for 4 days, but ended up not being able to come home on time, but finally after 5 dreadful days the stupid little stone passed. it took me two more days before i could actually function as a human again & we could come home. the only good part of having a kindney stone over there was that my mom was there & my hubby was there to take care of my every need. but man, i sure as heck dont wish that on anyone, ever. its not the first time i have had one, but the first time since being pregnant. the bad part is, they did an ultrasound of my kindney when i was at the hospital & i have more in there!! ugg. i hope they dont come while i am still pregnant. its like a time bomb, you never know when they will hit.

so, got back from our "vacation" and started working on the babies room:

after: we painted the top half brown, then put up a chair rail at 4 ft. then added 3/4" wood slats every 2' to the bottom half to give more texture to the wall, then we painted the bottom half cream. then we added casing & crown molding around the window & the top of the room. i love how it all came together. we have only bought the crib & the changing table/dresser/hutch so far, but now that we have those in the room we can see how it all fits & decide what else we need to buy. i want to get a big rug for the floor to really pull the whole room together. oh the tiny ugg boots, dont you love those?? i cant get enough of them, my friend em got those for us in new zealand when she was there last. so cute. so i guess i have been up to something, i just really need to remember to take the time to blog. it really helps me preserve my memories. ok, i will do better.
